Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Addi , the ingredient and additive scanning service available at addi.kovacssoftware.com.

1. Operator and acceptance
Addi is operated by Kovacs Software Solutions. By using the app, website, or API, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you cannot agree, do not use Addi.
2. What Addi provides
Addi can transcribe ingredient labels, identify additives, apply your selected watch preferences, and use Open Food Facts to prefill barcode product data. You may use an anonymous account or Sign in with Apple, send product feedback, and purchase Pro access through the App Store.
3. Not medical or safety advice
Addi provides informational assistance only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent disease and is not medical, nutritional, allergy, religious, legal, or regulatory advice. AI output and community barcode data can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. Always read the physical package and consult a qualified professional for health decisions or emergencies.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for your device, account credentials, scans, watchlist choices, and decisions. Submit only content you have the right to process. Do not submit illegal material, malware, secrets unrelated to the service, or content that violates another person’s rights.
5. Acceptable use
You may not bypass quotas, automate abusive requests, probe or disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected parts, impersonate others, use results to build a competing dataset, or violate law. We may rate-limit, suspend, or end access to protect users and the service.
6. Accounts and deletion
Anonymous accounts may be unavailable if local credentials are lost. Sign in with Apple is controlled by Apple. You may request account deletion in Settings; deletion revokes local access and deletes associated local server records as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not cancel an App Store subscription.
7. Pro subscriptions
Apple processes purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. RevenueCat helps determine entitlement status. Prices and trial terms appear in the App Store purchase screen before confirmation. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account; App Store and applicable consumer-law rules govern refunds.
8. External services
Addi relies on Apple, RevenueCat, Open Food Facts, AI providers, and infrastructure providers. Their availability, data, and terms are outside our control. Barcode information is community maintained and must be checked against the product package.
9. Feedback and intellectual property
You retain rights in content you submit and grant us a limited license to process it to operate, secure, support, and improve Addi. You may provide feedback voluntarily; we may use non-confidential suggestions without payment. Addi software, branding, catalogs, and original content remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, limit, or discontinue features and cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Preserve any information you need independently and install updates needed for security or compatibility.
11. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Addi is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for decisions based on inaccurate scans, barcode data, or unavailable service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Governing law and contact
